Samsung Series 9

http://www.techygadgetz.com
The series 5 samsung toes the official ultrabook line, but this core i5-powerd Series 9 overhaul goes by the coveted title, The Worlds Thinnest laptop, with the 13-inch model just 12.9mm at its thickest point and 1.13kg. It boots up in a nippy 9.8 seconds, has a ten hour battery life and on the top model, squeezes a 15-inch screen into a 14-inch body. Please, don’t call it an ultra book

Sony Xperia S

Having expunged Ericsson from Sony Ericsson, the first sony-branded smartphone has been unveiled. Powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm chip, the Xperia S has a 4.3-inch Bravia screen, a 12-megapixel/1080p cam and access to Sony Entertainment Network’s music and movies. It runs Android 2.3, upgrading in due course to Android 4.0, and yes we are sure…

Asus Transformer Prime

Not only is the Asus Transformer prime the world’s first quadcore tablet, it’s also a natty hybrid with a removable keyboard that snaps into place like a jigsaw piece. The slate itself is only slightly heavier than the iPad 2 and measures just 8.3mm thick – impressive considering the roaring 1.3GHz quadcore processor on board. Dock with the keyboard and an extra 10.3 mm is added, making the Prime more netbook like in size.

Despite the tight layout of the QWERTY and trackpad, it is still preferable to a touchscreen for lengthier typing excursions and PC-like gaming with titles streamed using OnLive.
The generous 32GB storage is bolstered by a USB 2.0 port and SD card slot, plus a year’s free Asus cloud storage. Other connections include micro HDMI and a headphone jack. Like the original Transformer, the Prime features a 10.1 inch 1280x800 touchscreen protected by tough Gorilla glass.

It arrives running Honeycomb, but an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade is available now.
The dock grants an 18-hour life: 12 hours if the tablet flies solo, and you cannot charge via USB.
Unlike Asus’ original Transformer, the Prime isn’t cheaper than the equivalent iPad.

However, with quadcore speed, an ace screen and the option of plugging in the keyboard for more comfortable typing and longer life, it may not feel overpriced after all.

LG SAYS BIGGER IS BETTER!

http://www.techygadgetz.com

Koreans kit up the best telly tech of CES 2012 with a 4mm-thin OLED, Kinect-like controls and an 84-inch monster screen. While Samsung’s smart ecosystem impressed our brains, it was LG’s 55-inch OLED that grabbed our eyes, with white added to the usual RGB colour palette for incredibly tru-to-life pictures.

Most jaw flooring of all, the set is just 4mm across – half the width of a Galaxy S II. LG also showed off an 84-inch monster set with a 4K maximum resolution (that’s 4 times 1080p). Fo those whose lounges are a little more bijou, there is also 55 and 60-inch versions without the 4K resolution. The range offers dualcore processors, apps galore and suspiciously Kinect-like gesture and voice controls.
