Jaguar Land Rover is developing technology for their new Range Rover that will be able to detect potholes in the road.
Land Rover is testing out new sensors for its new Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport models that monitor the road around them.
They intend to collect anonymous data about potholes and then pass it to other road users as alerts about a pothole on the road ahead of them.
The company is looking at ways to scan the road ahead to find potholes before your drive over them, and this could allow them to develop a system that would let you avoid potholes altogether.
Jaguar Land Rover are also working with Coventry City Council to find out how the technology could be used to assist them with road repairs.
